ADA - Matchmaking
ConnectAmericas, the business platform of the IDB, currently has more than 240,000 registered business profiles. These companies interact through the platform in various ways, including organic search, applications to purchase announcements, and participation in face-to-face and virtual forums organized by the IDB's Integration and Trade Sector. Furthermore, considering that it is fundamental for a company to find suitable suppliers and customers for the growth of their businesses, especially in international markets, CA had launched an AI-based solution that strengthens and facilitates business matchmaking. The main purpose is for companies to find in CA the platform to generate valuable connections and grow their business.
Project Overview
The business matchmaking application is designed to connect complementary companies and foster collaborations and business opportunities. It uses data-driven matching algorithms to pair companies based on their specific needs and capabilities, offering an interactive and personalized interface through conversations with a generative artificial intelligence. This interaction aims to enhance the accuracy of recommendations and tailor them to the specifics of each user.
The functional features of the platform include a variety of tools to optimize the search and discovery of companies. Users can employ advanced filters such as industry, company size, location, and types of needs/offers to refine their search. Additionally, the platform provides affinity scoring and matching probability to rank results, using artificial intelligence and machine learning to offer personalized recommendations based on compatibility and the needs expressed by the users.
To ensure the effectiveness and relevance of the matches, the platform includes an evaluation system where companies can rate the quality of interactions and collaborations, providing feedback that the AI uses to continuously improve the matchmaking algorithm. Additionally, detailed analytics and reports on the application's use are offered, helping companies better understand their performance within the platform and adjust their networking and collaboration strategies.
From a technical perspective, the plataform is supported by Directus, as the backend and CMS integrated with Azure Open AI for the Gen AI process.
